I’m using it on a Samsung i730 with WM5 and it works great, except it ignores recurring events! :(

I’m getting the same problem with zero import and zero export over here as Sean and Terrence. Everything goes just fine; Logging in, picking my calendars, setting a default one. But when i click ‘Done’, and it asks me if i want to import right now (and i say yes), it gives me zero import and zero export (several times now). I left the device like this last night and this morning it still said 0/0. No errors at all. Do you have any idea how this would occur theGooley? Cause this would be one f*cking awesome tool for me if it works. Thanks in advance. Maybe i should mention: i’m using the google calendar with my ow domain (google apps).

I’m having some time zone issues with WM 6. I have my device (Dash) set to mountain time zone (GMT -7) as is Google calendars, but it seems to take the zone twice. For example… an appointment scheduled for 12:00pm on my Google calendar will download to the device as 5:00am. Any ideas what’s going on here? Could it be the automatic time zone setting on the device? Does this feature appear on WM 5? Could be the issue that others seem to be having. Are you still updating this program? Or should I just look elsewhere?

Thanks for the program. I know its been awhile since there was an update – any plans?

Also, I am just curious regarding how it works. Are my credentials/ calendar information passed to a 3rd party server or is there only a direct connection between Google and my phone- with nothing to do with any third party?

Is there any chance that you could get this app to work with PocketPC 2003 PDAs? I installed the .NET 2.0 from MS’s website, and then installed your program. I ran it and it looked fine, but when I tried to actually sync it said:

GCalSync.exe
MissingMethodException
File or assembly name
‘Microsoft.WindowsMobile.PocketOutlook, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35′, or one of its dependencies, was not found.

Incidentally, this is the same error I’ve seen with GMobileSync and ActivegcSync.

If there’s anything I can do to help you, I’d be happy to. I’m dying to get gcal on my PDA!

I got the same error with it sayign 0 items imported/exported. Tried rebooting phone and everything. A couple days later it just mysteriously started working. I know I’m not telling you anything helpful, but wait and see if it starts clicking.
Java midlet would not run on my 8125. Said it did not have permissions after holding a gun to its head and forcing it to finally install.

I get the “check username or password” error message when it has trouble contacting the server, for example when I was tethered to my laptop. It seems to work over EV-DO, but then it says imported 0 and exported 0 events even though I have lots of stuff in my calendar. Any ideas?

It’s great that you’re working on this. Way better than having to rely on a Java midlet (which doesn’t work with my phone anyway)
